FUN PASS
The Fair utilizes a card system called Fun Pass where patrons must use a Fun Pass card to pay for admission to the fairgrounds, ride rides, play games, purchase food & beverages, novelties, and pay for some attractions. You may purchase a new Fun Pass card from the large red kiosks marked "PURCHASE ONLY" at the entrance to the Fair using cash or a debit/credit card. The initial cost of a Fun Pass is $3 (30 credits), which will be deducted automatically from the new card ($20= 170 credits; $50= 470 credits). Minimum purchase for a new card is $20 and one card per transaction. If you have a Fun Pass from a previous fair, you may reload it at the red kiosks marked "RELOAD ONLY".
**Please note, we have been experiencing sporadic, intermittent delays with debit/credit card transactions, therefore, cash is highly recommended. We thank you in advance for your patience as we resolve the issue.**
Once inside the fairgrounds, there are kiosks and Fun Pass trailers that may be used to reload your card only, with the exception of one machine in the Fun Pass trailer closest to the Scooter ride, where you may purchase a new card with a $20 bill only. The Fun Pass trailers accept CASH ONLY using a $1, $5, $10, $20, $50, or $100 bill, but the red kiosks under the games tent accept cash or debit/credit cards.
When reloading, you will not be charged the new card fee and will receive the full value of each Fun Pass credit which is equivalent to 10 cents. $3= 30 credits; $5= 50 credits; $10= 100 credits; $20= 200 credits; $50= 500 credits; $100= 1,000 credits
If you have credits on a Fun Pass that you purchased at any previous E. K. Fernandez Shows carnival or fair, those credits are good at the 50th State Fair.

The Queen Lili'uokalani Keiki Hula Competition was created in 1976 in honor of the Queen of Hawai'i. Hundreds of children compete annually with thousands in attendance at the Neal Blaisdell Center Arena. It is also televised for a global audience. E. K. Fernandez Shows, the oldest Native Hawaiian-owned business in the Islands, is proud to partner with Hawaii's leading children's hula competition to feature some of the state's leading keiki halau.
